CELEBRATING 7 YEARS CANCER FREE - November 23, 2001

This past month we have been reflecting on how many things we have to be thankful for. November 23, 2001 Arthur passed his 7-year mark for being cancer free without drugs, surgery or chemo/radiation. We are so thankful every day that we can share this knowledge with others. God has blessed us so much.

I spoke to a friend this week who was undergoing medical testing, biopsies, scans and scopes. I tried to explain how her
body was a self-healing body, and given the right nutrients and conditions, her body could actually heal itself. She told me
that the doctors had said that she would likely have to go on prednisone. Now that she had begun with the medical testing,
she was hesitant to try something different. The question I asked her was "Does your body have a prednisone deficiency?"
She said "No", but she was content to go the drug route. Poor lady!

Each week we receive a "Health Tip" from Dr. George Malkmus at Hallelujah Acres (www.hacres.com). Here is part of a great one:

HEALTH TIP: DRUGS AND THE MEDICAL PROFESSION

"Almost 15 years ago, in 1987, I wrote a book titled "Why Christians Get Sick." (Today, over a quarter-million copies are
in print.) In chapter 5 of that book was titled DRUGS AND THE MEDICAL PROFESSION. Following are a few quotes from this chapter:

"We live in a drug-oriented society! Our water is drugged with chlorine and fluoride ... our foods have been drugged with some
7,000 different chemicals... Then when we get sick from the drugs in our drinking water and taking devitalized, drugged,
so-called food substances into our body, we call the medical doctor. The medical doctor, a doctor licensed to practice the prescribing of drugs, writes a prescription for some more drugs... The sick person, whose sickness may quite possibly be a drug reaction from the drugged water and food, then takes these additional drugs, supposedly to cure his illness..."

Please read this CAREFULLY, as I know that some of you may USE some of these drugs (Alka Seltzer Plus for one) Also, please pass this on to everyone you know. STOP TAKING anything containing this ingredient. It has been linked to increased hemorrhagic stroke (bleeding in brain) among women ages 18-49 in the three days after starting use of medication. Problems were not found in men, but the FDA recommended that everyone (even children) seek alternative medicine.

SNAKE BITE TESTIMONIAL - Greatest Drug Free Alternative

"Did you ever feel like you were snake bit? Well, you know it when you are, because it hurts. On Saturday, March 8, 1997 I
was being very obedient. I was told that there was a lot of yard work that needed done. I didn't even go into the office
like normal, but got right up on Saturday morning and started to work in the yard. At 3:45 PM I found a copperhead in the
back part of the yard. Somehow I managed to let it bite me on the first joint of the index finger on the left hand. I could
actually feel the venom quickly pumping into the finger. I grabbed the snake and pulled him off my finger. As his fang
slid across the top of my finger it slit it open just like a razor blade. I caught the snake and put it in a jar, then went
inside the house and took an extra helping of Barleygreen and then we packed Barleygreen on the wound on my finger. I picked up the jar with the snake and headed down the road to the hospital emergency room.

"After arriving at the emergency room with snake in hand I received quick attention. I didn't even have to fill out all of
that paperwork. The doctor on duty immediately had Dr. R. K. Smith, who is retired, but a snake expert, called to come in.
They started an IV of saline solution, gave me a tetanus shot, then asked what was that green stuff on my finger. I explained
that it was Barleygreen, and they were relieved that it was not a fungus growing on my finger. Dr. Smith arrived and had them
start four vials of antivenin serum. It was then explained to me that it was very possible that it could stop my heart and/or
lungs, but don't worry because they had adrenaline and some type of steroids ready in case this happened.

"In a matter of fact voice we were told that this was not life threatening, but I would probably lose my finger. What? I type
for a living and this would not be good.

"They immediately hooked me up to a monitor and my blood pressure started out at 140/81. It worked its way up to 156/88
by 7:00 PM. I then was taken to a room for overnight observation.

"My finger and hand were swollen and they marked the finger and hand and measured it every hour. I missed dinner so Pat went to the store and brought fresh fruit and vegetables enough for dinner and breakfast the next morning. I wanted to eat
correctly since my body was fighting both the venom and the serum.

"At 4:30 AM the finger was actually ½ cm smaller than the previous measurement which was around 2:00 AM and my blood
pressure was now 128/65 and my pulse was 64. Since we started taking Barleygreen in May of 1996 I wanted to be really healthy and have started jogging and exercising on a regular basis as well as eating healthier.

"Dr. Smith arrived at the hospital at about 2:30 PM on Sunday afternoon and was very pleased that the swelling was going
down. He stated that I had no restrictions on my activities or jogging, but that I could expect a severe rash as a reaction to
the antivenin serum. There had only been two other people that did not have a reaction to the serum in the history of
snakebites. I would need to contact him or my regular doctor for a special drug that would take care of the rash which could
occur anytime from now up to the next three weeks.

"I left the hospital at 3:00 PM, went home, cleaned up, went out for a good healthy meal, and was at church for the 6:00 PM
service. I received a lot of attention. Not very many people had seen a real snake bite. After getting home I put more
Barleygreen on the snakebite area and left it on my finger all night. The next morning the snakebite would was completely
healed over. The hand and finger were still swollen, but work had to go on. Everything was also sore to the touch. I left
work a little bit early so that I would have time to jog before I went to church for a meeting. I started out slow, but had no
ill effects so I ended up jogging my normal 4-½ miles. To my surprise when I was through jogging all the swelling and
soreness were gone from my hand and finger.

"We later read in a study Pat was taking that the lungs are used by the body as a purifier and filter. The wolf and other
wild animals if bitten by a poisonous snake, or if they ingest poison run as fast as they can in order to relieve their body
of the poison through their lungs. This is their only chance of survival. The three weeks are up and I ended up with two small
fever blisters and was able to type this record with all my fingers. Thank You Lord!"
