Dear friends,
It is a privilege to connect with you all. This month we have a couple housekeeping items to be aware of, as well as continuing the PFAS article from last month. Hope that it’s helpful info for you!
ADAPTER WIRES for using OLD Copper Tubes

Have you got some of the older copper tubes as “handholds”? Although we discontinued metal pipes years ago, the good news is that we now have a wire adapter kit to use your own copper tubes with the AutoZap 5 Zapper. This is only for those who already have their own tubes. We have a limited number of these clip adapters.
Contact Lyn if you are interested. We will put them on the site if there is interest.
Q & A
Calibration Question: I have had my zapper for 10-12 years and wonder if it should be recalibrated?
The way you know your AutoZap 5 zapper is working is by looking at the SenseAlert light. That light will not shine if there is a problem. That could be: a break in the wires, the connections are not secure such as the jack being seated well, your zapping contact is not connected, the batteries are too low.
Please see our FAQ page at www.BestZapper.com/FAQ for the troubleshooting section if your SenseAlert light does not go on. If your Zapper appears “dead” it is a sign to change the batteries. If you have just changed them, remove them completely for 15 minutes, then reinsert them. You should be running perfectly.
Travel Question: Are the AutoZap and Zappicator allowed in my checked luggage while I am travelling abroad?
The travel concern is a lithium battery, which are being monitored in checked luggage. There are NO lithium batteries in any of our devices. The Zappicator has no battery at all. The AutoZap zapper has 2 AA Alkaline batteries. You can remove them for travel, and place them in another part of your suitcase. That gives you confidence that the airport screening process should have no problem with anything in your bag.

PFAS FOREVER CHEMICALS – PART 2
PFAS chemicals are per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances also known as PFAS. Last newsletter, we exposed the problem of forever chemicals remaining in your body, and possibly being at the root of your health crisis or disease. The problems typically present as hormone disruption, fertility issues, thyroid problems, cancers, fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, and bone health.
What can we do about it? I believe if we just get started, we will be doing ourselves a lifetime favour. It is an overwhelming thought to think that what we have been using throughout our lifetime is now killing us. Here is to skim the surface.
Stop the Exposure
Everything on this list is vital. Stopping exposure to PFAS is to get a water filter, stop eating from fast food places using any kind of water/grease resistant wrappers, plates, cups, pizza boxes, microwave popcorn, and parchment paper. Get rid of teflon dental floss, teflon frying pans, waffle makers, pots, and use stainless steel, cast iron, ceramic or glass. Avoid shell fish and tuna, which have high levels of PFAS. Eat at home. Read labels on body products, and if you cannot pronounce the words, avoid them. Sunscreens generally contains PFAS. EWG.org is a great reference guide for skin and body products. Look out for and avoid any word that has the word “fluoro” in it. The words “PAP” and “PFTE” are to be avoided.
Detox Chemicals from the Body
Dr. Clark’s detox approach has never been more vital than it is now. She taught that when you flush out the liver, kidneys and bowels, you enable your own body to work efficiently and do its job. We have a special “Cleanses” download available from our Best Zapper Resource page. It’s a great reference in cleansing the organs, directly from Dr. Clark’s books.
A recent Canadian study published Journal of Environmental Health showed after 4 weeks of taking dietary fibre reduced PFAS concentrations. Soluble dietary fibre is found in oats, as well as other foods such as dandelion leaves and roots. All fibre helps in supporting the liver and clearing out toxins. I have been personally surprised to learn how the humble dandelion is a detox giant for the liver and gut. Add fresh dandelion leaves to salads and eat them as a free fibre supplement. I’ve found that Dandelion and Stinging Nettle both make great teas, and support the body’s detoxification pathways of the liver and kidneys.
Certain foods are known for their detox potential. Eat lots of cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, brussels sprouts, and cabbage. Drink lots of water to support your kidneys. Sweat through exercise is also a way to detox through the skin.
Start small, and focus on consistency rather than perfection. Getting rid of every PFAS item may not be possible in this toxic world. But getting started takes dedication and time, one item at a time.

That’s it for this month. The great truth Dr. Clark has given us is that we can all safely take responsibility for our own health by using safe methods and common sense – and have some fun in the process. I love your feedback, by the way. Have a great summer!
Until next time, Happy Zapping!
